The Tambopata reserve In Madre de Dios region of Peru’s Amazon basin is one of the regions on earth with a remarkable amount of biodiversity; it is home for various unique species like the giant otters, this pristine Elbow Lakes filled with an incredible amount of biodiversity. The region holds 362 species, butterflies (1,200 species), and unique type of birds (500 species). The gate way to enter this pristine paradise is the Puerto Maldonado city from where we can reach some of the lodges to explore the Amazon Forest and search for the giant otter, tapirs, turtles, monkeys, and macaws, and in the twilight river excursions we can search for caimans and capybaras, the lodge is built out of ecologically protective standards.
