Puno is connected to Arequipa via a paved road of 295 kilometers; the scenery is interesting, traversing from the Altiplano highlands to the lower valley. Along can be observed the natural habitat of the Vicuna. and some volcanoes on the distance. To go to Chivay ( to visit Colca Canyon ) we take a detour of nearly two hours to descent into the Chivay town valley.

Short stop at a lookout point. 10:15 am. Cofee stop. 11:15 am. Stop at Volcanoes lookout point. 12:10 pm. Arrival to the Main square of Chivay.
