It is the most famous archeological site in the region, located on a peninsula surrounded by the Lagoon Umayo, 35 kilometers from Puno on the road to Juliaca. Huge burial towers of ancient monarchs stand on its esplanade contrasting with the stunning landscape and the Island Umayo.
