Day 1 – 1 day – Kayak Crossing From Llachon To Taquile + Titicaca Uncovered
This great adventure begins at 7:00am with a transfer from your hotel to the port. At 7:30am. We then travel by luxury speed motor boat towards the peninsula of Capachica and after of only 30 minutes of navigation !! We reach Santa Maria – Llachon. This is for sure one of the most scenic spots Of lake Titicaca, with terrific Lake Titicaca views. It will be then the starting point of our adventure.

At 08.30 am we meet the team of Titicaca kayak Company and your certified kayak Guide. Who will give us the security briefing and basic paddling instructions and help Us the get on properly the kayak gear, flotation device etc. (No previous experience required, but good physical condition, but please report your guide any medical condition). At 08:45 am we start paddling from the tip of the Peninsula of Capachica towards Taquile Island (10k). The quietness and immensity of the lake will be our travel partners, enjoy the stunning views of the Lake and the snow caped mountains on the distance, along the way we make some stops for resting and re-hydrating, finally we arrive to Taquile Island at 11:15 am. Then we join the Titicaca Uncovered Tour. Have a quick exploration of Taquile Island, and observe briefly this traditional community. At 11:55 am we leave the island.
12:15 pm. Arrival to the community of Santa Maria – Llachon, on the tip of the Capachica Peninsula, a very scenic off the beaten track destination. We are welcomed by a small community and quickly introduced to an intensive cross cultural experience, observe their traditions and participate in an ancient ceremony to learn about their magical world. Then experience the preparation of “Pachamanca” a traditional way of cooking meat, fish and potatoes using underground ovens – this is one of the main dishes of Peruvian cuisine. Enjoy these delicacies in a small, but very scenic, restaurant. For the more adventurous there is an optional kayak along the coast of Llachon (see our extensions). At 1:50 pm. we leave Santa Maria.
2:25 pm Arrival to a remote area of the National Reserve of Lake Titicaca, and explore UROS Ccapi, these are considered as the last authentic floating islands, less commercial and little visited. The Uros are descendants of one of the oldest cultures in South America. Optional tours in reed boats. Depart back to Puno at 15:25 pm.
4:30 pm Arrival in Puno and transfer to hotel. End of services.
