This trip can start any time of the day . We go to ecounter this extraordinary etnic group that have made their homes amogst the reeds at the hearth of the National Reserve of Lake Titicaca. Have the chance to SLEEP on a Reed island and share with the locals a very original way of living. just per a night.

Itinerary

Day 1 - Puno / Uros ( Overnight )

Get transferred from your Hotel in Puno or from the Bus station to the main port of Puno. then by motor boat we reach the fascinating reed floating islands of Uros, get amazed observing every thing made out of reeds, the houses, the islands they even eat it, you are welcome by the local family and accomodated in one of the reed houses they have aconditioned for visitors, rooms are basic but comfortable enough. Make sure you have warm clothing. in the afternoon the locals expert fishermen will take for a small reed boat ride amongst the reeds, and see the fishing nets. The Islands are small, so just laidown to relax. Dinner served in the room. Overnight.

Day 2 - Uros / Puno ( Or continue into other Excursions )

After breakfast you can explore the surroundings before returning to Puno. Or be ready to contact the diferent tours continuing onto the open section of Lake Titicaca, realize that the reed islands are located inside the bay of Puno, if you want to have a wider perspective of the geography. Is recommended to travel abroads the bay.

Important Note

The reed banks are very extense the floating islands of uros are located on a chanal only to 8 kilometes away Puno. Lake Titicaca open side can be reached by the other daily classic private or group trips. You can easily combine the overngiht in Uros with some of the Lake Tours that will show you the open side of Lake Titicaca.
