We will drive you for approximately 2 hours through the Sacred Valley to the Ollantaytambo train station. We must arrive 40 minutes before the train departs.
Scenic Train Ride to Aguas Calientes Board the train for a breathtaking 1.5-hour journey to Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu Pueblo), the town nestled at the base of the citadel. This scenic train ride follows the Sacred Vilcanota River, winding past ancient villages, lush landscapes, and snow-capped peaks. Towards the rain forrest regions.
Bus Ride to Machu Picchu Upon arrival at the station in Aguas Calientes, your expert local guide will greet you and escort you to the shuttle bus. Enjoy a scenic 25-minute ride up the winding mountain road directly to the entrance of Machu Picchu.
Guided Tour of Machu Picchu Step inside the Inca citadel for an engaging 3-hour guided tour of this iconic world wonder. Depending on your circuit, you will explore major highlights—such as the Guardian’s House, the Temple of the Sun, and the Sacred Plaza—while taking in panoramic views of agricultural terraces and dramatic canyon scenery.
Important Note on Circuits: Sites and landmarks visited inside Machu Picchu vary depending on the official circuit booked. Circuit 2 is the most comprehensive and popular option, but it requires booking well in advance due to strict daily entry limits. There are 3 main circuits with different sub-routes available.
Return Bus & Free Time for Lunch After your guided tour, take the bus back down to Aguas Calientes. Enjoy free time to explore the town and have lunch at a local restaurant (lunch is not included).
Return Train & Transfer to Cusco Board your return train from Aguas Calientes back to Ollantaytambo (or Poroy). Upon arrival at the station, our representative will be waiting to transfer you directly back to your hotel in Cusco.
