Port Titicaca
Day 1: Kayak Crossing to Taquile & Cultural Stay in Amantaní
- 07:00 am. – Hotel Pickup & Transfer: We pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to the port, where we board our motorboat toward our kayak base camp at Llachón (Santa María).
- 08:30 am. – Gear Up & Safety Briefing: Meet the expert crew of Titicaca Kayak Company (our specialized kayak division). After a comprehensive safety briefing and paddling instructions from your certified guide, you will suit up with professional kayak gear.
- 09:00 am. – Kayak Crossing to Taquile Island (10 km): Begin paddling across the open water toward Taquile Island (approx. 2.5 hours). Experience the breathtaking immensity and deep silence of Lake Titicaca, a perfect escape from city life. A motorized security escort boat will always accompany the group.
- 12:00 pm. – Arrival at Taquile Island & Lunch: Arrive at Taquile Island to learn about its world-famous textile art and rich cultural traditions. Enjoy a traditional lunch (included). Afterward, we travel by motorboat to Amantaní Island.
- 03:30 pm. – Homestay Check-in & Sunset Hike: Arrive in Amantaní and settle into your local family homestay. In the late afternoon, we will hike up to the highest point of the island to visit the Pachatata (Mother Earth) temple to witness a spectacular sunset over the lake.
- 07:00 pm. – Dinner & Cultural Celebration: Enjoy a home-cooked dinner with your host family, followed by a small traditional celebration with the locals. Overnight at the homestay.

Llachon
Day 2: Kayaking from Amantaní & Exploring the Uros Floating Islands
- 07:30 am. – Breakfast with the Host Family: Enjoy a fresh local breakfast before heading to the shoreline.
- 08:30 am. – Kayak Crossing: Amantaní to Llachón (10 km): Paddle from Amantaní Island back to Santa María – Llachón. This unique 2.5-hour journey offers sweeping views of the distant, snow-capped Andes mountains of Bolivia.
- 11:00 am. – Boat Navigation to Uros: Upon arrival at Llachón, we board our motorboat to head toward the famous floating reed islands.
- 01:30 pm. – Discover the Uros Floating Islands: Step onto the unique reed islands, which feel like walking on a waterbed. Learn how the Uros ethnic group uses totora reeds to construct their homes, islands, canoes, crafts, and even food. Optional rides on traditional reed boats can be arranged directly with the local fishermen. Lunch on the island is not included.
- 03:30 PM – Return to Puno: After a 30-minute boat ride, we arrive at the Puno port and transfer you back to your hotel. End of services.
