Puno
Kayak By Luquina Full Day
- 07:00 am. Hotel Pickup & Departure: We will pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to the port. From there, we travel by motorboat to visit the famous Uros Floating Islands tour. Stepping on these islands feels a bit like walking on a waterbed, but they are completely safe. You will explore two of the islands and have the chance to ride a traditional reed boat (optional, direct payment).
- 08:30 AM – Navigation to Luquina: We continue our journey by motorboat. After a relaxing cruise, we arrive at Luquina, a traditional Aymara community where our kayak base camp is located.
- 10:00 AM – Kayak Briefing & Preparation: Meet your certified guide and the expert team from Titicaca Kayak Company (our specialized kayak division). After a safety briefing and basic paddling instructions, we will help you gear up. No previous experience is required, but good physical condition is recommended. Please inform your guide of any medical conditions beforehand.
- 10:20 AM – Paddling the Great Lake: We begin paddling toward the tip of the Chucuito Peninsula. Watch as the vast Lake Titicaca opens before you. On a clear day, you can even spot the snow-capped Bolivian mountains in the distance.
- 11:20 AM – Arrival at Karina Beach: Enjoying the cool lake breeze, we reach a pristine sandy beach in the off-the-beaten-track community of Karina. Take a well-deserved rest and soak in the spectacular views before paddling back to our base camp.
- 12:30 PM – Cultural Lunch at Luquina: We return to the shores of Luquina, where local families will welcome us with hot drinks and a delicious, freshly prepared typical lunch. Enjoy this meaningful cross-cultural exchange.
- 02:30 PM – Return to Puno: We board our motorboat for the journey back to Puno city.
- 03:50 PM – Arrival & Hotel Drop-off: Approximate arrival time in Puno and transfer back to your selected hotel.
