South Valley Tour 1-Day
08:30 AM — We will pick you up from your Cusco hotel to begin your South Valley Cusco tour. Traveling through the scenic valley bordered by agricultural landscapes, our first stop is the Tipón Archaeological Complex, an ancient Inca site with an impressive terracing system, where an expert guide will show you remarkably preserved fountains and stone channels showcasing Inca hydraulic engineering and water worship.
Next, we visit Pikillacta, a pre-Inca citadel built by the Wari culture between the 6th and 9th centuries AD, renowned for its geometric urban design and stuccoes stone walls. The Wari culture preceded the Inca civilization and ruled across southern Peru.
Our final stop is Andahuaylillas to visit San Pedro Apóstol Church, known as the “Sistine Chapel of the Americas” for its lavish gold-leaf altars and Cusco School of Art paintings. Afterward, enjoy 30 minutes of free time in Saylla before returning to Cusco, dropping you off near the Plaza de Armas or to your hotel roughly at 3.00 pm.
