Maras & Moray Tour 1-Day

We will pick you up from your Cusco hotel at 8:10 a.m. Our first stop is the picturesque town of Maras, world-famous for the stunning Maras Salt Mines (Salineras de Maras). From a panoramic viewpoint, you will admire thousands of terraced salt pans that date back to pre-Inca times and learn how local families still harvest pool salt using traditional ancestral methods.
Next, we head to the Moray Archaeological Site, located at an altitude of 3,500 meters (11,480 feet). Here, you will explore the famous circular agricultural terraces that resemble a sunken amphitheater. Your guide will explain how the Incas used this unique structure as an advanced experimental agricultural lab to domesticate crops across varying microclimates.
After exploring these incredible Inca ruins, we begin our return journey to Cusco. We will arrive back at approximately 2:30 p.m., dropping you off near the historical Plaza de Armas in Cusco to wrap up your Sacred Valley excursion.
