Quechua Route – Full Day
Full-Day Quechua Route: Sillustani, Lampa & Pukara (North of Puno)
08:00 – 08:10 AM: Pick-up from your hotel in Puno. We travel north by bus across the highlands to Sillustani, located on a scenic peninsula. Here, we take a guided tour to admire the enormous funerary towers (chullpas) built for ancient nobility, while taking in the stunning beauty of Lake Umayo.
We then continue our journey to Lampa, known as “The Pink City.” This picturesque town houses an authentic replica of Michelangelo’s Pietà inside the historic Church of Santiago Apóstol. Traveling through beautiful Andean landscapes, we reach the town of Pukara, where we enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Afterward, we visit a artisan workshop to learn about the famous Pukara Bulls (Toritos de Pukará), an iconic symbol of Peruvian pottery and culture.
06:30 PM: Approximate arrival back in Puno and transfer to your hotel.
